Maintenance Log
Every tool has a maintenance log where you can record service, repairs, and routine maintenance.
Adding a Maintenance Entry
Section titled “Adding a Maintenance Entry”On the tool’s detail page, scroll to the Maintenance Log section and use the form at the bottom:
- Select a type: Maintenance, Repair, or Inspection
- Enter a description of what was done
- Tap Add Entry
The entry is added to the timeline with today’s date.
What to Log
Section titled “What to Log”| Type | Examples |
|---|---|
| Maintenance | Blade change, oil change, filter replacement, belt replacement, calibration |
| Repair | Motor replacement, cord repair, switch replacement, bearing replacement |
| Inspection | Annual safety check, pre-job inspection, OSHA compliance check |
Maintenance Timeline
Section titled “Maintenance Timeline”Entries appear in reverse chronological order (newest first) with color-coded icons:
- Blue — Maintenance
- Orange — Repair
- Green — Inspection
- Log maintenance right after you do it — it takes 10 seconds
- A good maintenance record increases resale value
- Useful for tracking warranty-voiding modifications
